The Bright Echoes of a Fading Past

I recently came across a prompt on TikTok that really resonated with me: "What does nostalgia feel like to you?" It immediately caught my attention because I often find myself longing to return to my childhood.

For my piece, I began creating a landscape featuring a tall, slender monster watching a child inside a house. The monster symbolizes me — representing how I perceive and reflect on my childhood from a distance. I wanted to maintain a bright and vibrant color palette overall, but intentionally muted the tones around the monster to convey a sense of emotional contrast.

I've spent about three hours on this project so far, and I’m excited about the progress I’ve made. I can’t wait to continue working on it and share my journey with you as it evolves!
